Had a great meal today! First visit, but definitely not my last. Highly recommend the brisket. It's hand cut to order with a thick salt and pepper bark. Just enough fat to be succulent and rich but not greasy. Collards tender and savory, and the broccoli rice casserole was such a comfort food. They were out of stuffed jalapeño... but I will try them next time!

Artman's catered my wedding in February, and I couldn't thank them enough for the amazing work they did! We got the brisket and pulled pork for our meat with Mac and cheese and green beans for our sides. Everything was delicious, all of my guest have told us how good it was and how great the service was. They also did bartending which made the catering so much easier glad they offer it. Thank you so much Valerie and Crystal for everything!!

The corn nuggets took me back to my IA childhood - best I've had since moving to FL a few years ago! Husband had the slider sample and I had the Brisket (burnt ends!) Plate. He loved the sampler (hint, the sliders are sizeable). The brisket had some pure fat chunks in it (that's an 'ew in my book) but the meaty pieces - more than enough since their portions are very 'merica - were tangy, crunchy delish. Service was super friendly even tho' we stopped in 45 minutes before closing. This will become a repeat stop for us :)

Six of us went to Artman's for supper. Three of us had never been there before. As usual nobody was disappointed despite my hype. Two of us had the open faced brisket with mashed taters and gravy, one got the smoked chicken breast, one got the brisket dinner with baked beans and corn bread, one had the pulled pork dinner with Mac & Cheese and coke slaw, another had a full rib rack with greens and beans. All the entree's and the sides were just wonderful. We got four moinkes to share and banana pudding for desert. This place has never fail

We had lunch here and the food was fantastic and plentiful. They were very crowded, but it was worth the wait. Highly recommend.

This pace has delicious food like you would not believe! Very local and come early or they might run out of certain things if you come later. We went for lunch and our server was so nice and knew locals very well. The inside was super cozy and country of course, felt like I was home. The fried green tomato's highly recommend and the pies! Delicious and worth it!

This is the best BBQ I've had since we moved here a year and a half ago and I've tried a few so far. Just off of 42 - easy to miss if you aren't paying attention. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You seat yourself and then the staff will come serve you. They do regular drinks, beer and wine (and they have happy hour specials on food and drink until 5pm). They have a large variety on the menu and it was hard to choose. I ordered the 1/2 smoked chicken with 2 sides. They came out to me and told me they were out of 1/2 chickens and offered me 2 breasts or double dark meat (I chose the breast meat). When my meal came out - it was huge! The chicken was really moist and delicious (so easy to make chicken dry) and I had the green beans (with potatoes and kielbasa) and the coleslaw, as well as corn bread. I smothered it all in their yellow "tangy" sauce (I could bathe in that sauce - so good). They also have a sweet BBQ sauce and a Hot one. My only complaint, was that my green bean side had no kielbasa in it and I was looking forward to it, but the beans and potatoes themselves were yummy. I also really enjoyed the coleslaw. You can choose cornbread or Texas toast as your bread. My cornbread was the moistest I've ever had. Cornbread is so often dry, this was not at all. My 2 friends made different selections. One had the pulled pork platter with fried okra (you get a TON of okra - she had plenty to take home). She said her pork was very good. My other friend had the open brisket platter. That is a piece of Texas toast with brisket and gravy on it with a huge side of mashed potatoes and gravy. Her only complaint was her toast was hard on the edges and didn't break with the fork easily. She mentioned it to them and they took her plate back to the kitchen. They made her fresh new toast, cooked slightly under so it was fork tender, gave her a new huge side of potatoes and smoothened everything in gravy, since she likes extra. They really went above and beyond to make it right for her. I also did a take out pulled pork sandwich to take home to family with mac & cheese. They loved it. Said the pork with juicy and the mac & cheese was good. They loved the sweet BBQ sauce and even put it on their mac & cheese and said they made it even better. I will definitely come back here. The prices are also very reasonable for what you get. The meals and portions are generous and easily leave leftovers. I didn't get a chance to try any of the desserts or appetizers, but will next time. They have fried green tomatoes which is a favorite of mine.

This place is small but mighty. Located off a main highway right by RR tracks you might miss it but don't!!! Plenty of parking space available with handicap spaces located in front of the entrance. As you enter there are tables throughout and if your order is to go - walk right up to the cashier otherwise grab a table and a server will bring you menus. Ordered the Brisket Plate served with 2 sided and choice of cornbread or garlic toast. Ordered one of each - cornbread & garlic toast. I split the meal, so each of us took a side and one of the breads and we still had enough food for to go boxes. The brisket was nicely cooked with great flavor and not dry as some places tend to be. Order the potato salad as a side very good. Other side ordered was Broccoli Rice Casserole - it was ok, very cheesy. Also ordered the Brisket & Sliced Chicken. Again Brisket was very good however the Sliced Chicken would probably be better if left as a whole piece instead of sliced as it was a bit dried out. Even thought their beverage choices are Pepsi it is worth a return trip
